Blinken stressed to Gallant the need for a clear plan for post-war engagement in Gaza

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will emphasize today to Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant the need for Israel to come up with a clear and realistic plan for managing the Gaza Strip after the end of the war, the US State Department announced.

At the regular briefing, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller indicated that in talks with Gallant, the number one US diplomat will also discuss the need to avoid further escalation of the conflict in Gaza and improve humanitarian access to the Palestinian enclave.

The Israeli Defense Minister is visiting Washington and will meet with senior American officials.
