Bitici: It is terrible that the public debt will reach 70,8 percent, it has never been higher in history
- The public debt in December 2023 was 58,6 percent (of GDP), so that now on December 31, we will have a 66 percent public debt, and if we add to that the unmeasured obligations of the local self-government units, we arrive at a public debt of 70,8 percent. Here, take my word for it and on January 15th we will talk about whether it is so or not. Never in the history of Macedonia have we had such a public debt. And that is terrible, for the country, SDSM MP Fatmir Bitici said at today's Budget Financing Commission.
"We have to see how we deal with it." That is why this is not included in the fiscal strategy, and we pointed it out to you. But when we read the numbers, if you go to the document that was made by the parliamentary budget office on page 36, in goods and services, it says that by as much as 15 percent compared to the rebalance, materials and small inventory are increasing. That is 757 million denars. In contract services, 4,9 billion increase in contract services. Well, that's 80 and something million euros in contract services," Bitici said.
SDSM says that "due to the nervousness of the VMRO DPMNE MPs and their unconscionable behavior with constant insults, the session has been interrupted and there is a break".
