"We have taken and will take a certain set of measures in order to avoid an increase in the price of electricity. Let's see where we are, what we are, let's analyze, and then we'll see if there will be an increase or decrease in electricity prices, the president of the Energy Regulatory Commission said today. Marko Bislimoski, referring to the possible increase in the price of electricity at the beginning of next year, due to the current energy crisis.

In tonight's appearance on "TV24", Bislimoski said that the block tariffs were introduced in order to observe what their impact on consumption would be. The blocks, as he stated, were introduced to influence household consumption, and now we are also working on introducing blocks for small consumers who are on the regulated market.

– If we call for everyone to return to the regulated market, ESM will have to make additional imports, so a clear picture should be made of whom and how to help. Absolutely all companies that have a production process should be helped. Primary schools, secondary schools, higher education institutions should be helped. The public utility companies should also be partially helped, Bislimoski said.

The President of RKE assessed that the price of electricity may not increase, pointing out that it should be seen how ESM will finish the year, with how much production, it should be seen what additional obligations will be given to ESM, and then they should do analysis.

- RKE, whenever it was critical and problematic, was not afraid of taking responsibility and increasing the price of electricity, and now let's stop, see where we are, what we are and how we will continue, said Bislimoski.

The president of RKE reiterated that domestic resources must be used to the maximum, where cheap resources can be provided, and cheaper electricity should be provided, primarily for the economy.

- What is a fact is that from January 1 until today, the Energy Regulatory Commission has issued licenses for the production of electricity from photovoltaics in the amount of 70 megawatts. It is somewhere as far as the "Cave". So in just nine months, our companies, the domestic private companies, installed photovoltaics with a capacity of 70 megawatts, Bislimoski emphasized.

Regarding the negotiations on "Te-to", the president of RKE emphasized that the Commission did not join the negotiations with Bulgaria, Serbia, or Turkey. In addition, as he said, RKE cannot procure coal, fuel oil, natural gas, other institutions and companies do that, but what RKE does is simplify certain procedures to complete all these activities.

- What we considered as the Energy Regulatory Commission, we did. In our decision on the price for heat energy, we have foreseen "Te-to" to work for the entire heating season in order to get more than twice the cheaper price for heat energy, and also "Te-to" is important to our electricity system with in order to stabilize the current situation in the city of Skopje. I believe that everyone with common sense will do everything to ensure the production of electricity from "Te-to", Bislimoski pointed out.
