Bisera Kostadinovska Stojchevska used budget money for private purposes on her way to the United Kingdom, Anticorruption found
Former Minister of Culture, Bisera Kostadinovska Stojchevskand she used budget money for private purposes, on an official trip to the United Kingdom, the Anti-Corruption Commission determined at today's session and made a decision to initiate a procedure to the competent authorities.
- From the inspection we determined that on the occasion of "30 years of diplomatic relations between the United Kingdom and Macedonia, the minister held a bilateral meeting in Britain from October 24 to 27, 2023. The advance was £1300 of which £229 was representation and £280 could not qualify as representation costs. £528 was spent on the Ministry of Culture official card of which £485 could not qualify as travel expenses. The State Committee for the Prevention of Corruption states that the allegations of budget funds used for private purposes are confirmed, that is, funds were spent from the budget of the Ministry of Culture that cannot be qualified as if they were for official travel, said Zoran Bogoevski, a member of the State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption.
The decision was voted unanimously, with 7 votes.
