Besimi assures: The budget is well positioned to withstand the crisis
The budget is well positioned to withstand the crisis. We are ready to respond to any challenge in a timely manner. The crisis is serious and may last in view of what is happening in Ukraine and at the world level, which means that we have to prepare for a marathon, assesses the Minister of Finance Fatmir Besimi in an interview with MIA.
He says that targeted anti-crisis measures are being prepared, not wanting to prejudge when their implementation would begin, but he believes that the last quarter of this year and the next quarter of next year are the most important.
– I would not like to prejudge with dates, but what everyone expects is when it will be most important. It is the last quarter of the year and the next quarter of the year. I think we are taking all the necessary steps not only in terms of measures, but also in terms of energy saving, says Besimi.
He adds that the winter will be difficult and that it is important to provide sufficient amounts of electricity and food to be able to overcome this period and from next year to have a stable basis for growth.
