Besimi: There is money for electricity subsidies in the budget this year as well
Support in the form of subsidies to mitigate the effects of the energy crisis will continue this year. The budget provides funds for this purpose, which will support citizens, as well as small and medium-sized companies to reduce the effects of the energy crisis, said the Minister of Finance, Fatmir Besimi, during a visit to Win-Win.
"In this year's budget, 225 million euros have been provided to support the citizens and the economy to deal with the crisis, part of which is intended for ESM", said Besimi and added that the European Union also awarded 84 million euros as a grant to deal with the energy crisis for this year. year.
The minister pointed out that the effects of the subsidies can be seen in the electricity bills that the citizens receive, where it is written how much the subsidy is, because it is their money that comes from the taxes they pay.
"Citizens should know where their money is spent, and it is only the Government's policy to give the subsidy," says Besimi.
The minister pointed out that during the past heating season, the Government, through subsidies to AD ESM and the fiscal implications of the reduced VAT, supported citizens and companies with a total of 400 million euros to deal with the energy crisis.
