Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett today called on world powers to take a tougher line on Iran during the Vienna nuclear talks, as some of Israel's leading intelligence officials went to Washington to discuss the issue.

In Vienna last week, negotiations resumed after five months between Iran and the world's leading powers, including the United States, because Iran does not want direct negotiations with the United States.

The US delegation is also in Vienna, in a hotel opposite the talks, and they, as well as EU negotiators, have expressed disappointment with Iran's position and questioned whether the talks will succeed because of what they say is Iran's tough stance, the AP reported.

"I urge every country negotiating with Iran in Vienna to take a firm stand and make it clear to Tehran that it cannot enrich uranium and negotiate at the same time. "Iran must pay the price for violating the agreement," Naftali Bennett said.
