Four Belgian engineers have designed a toilet that can adjust the amount of water needed to evacuate waste according to the contents entering the toilet bowl, and such an ecological and more economical approach is attractive in the international market, the "Focus on Belgium" portal reported. Urinals with an automatic flushing system are already widespread. However, innovation can still be developed, as demonstrated by four designers working at Antwerp-based IPEE, reports Beta.

The latest invention of Belgian engineers is quite useful, because the toilet called Buddy allows full automation of cleaning the cup in a very precise and hygienic way. The high-tech toilet offers users increased comfort in a soothing atmosphere thanks to dimmed lighting.

No need to press any buttons, just wave your hand to easily activate the contactless toilet, engineers say.

Its use is also part of a sustainable approach because with its patented sensors, this new system independently adjusts the amount of water needed to evacuate waste according to its quantity and nature. The Buddy toilet has already "charmed" individuals and companies, and is found in various public spaces such as Singapore's airport.
