Belgium is considering whether to deliver its F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, Belgian Prime Minister Alexandre De Croix said.

Belgium is replacing its F-16s with F-35 fighter jets, and its Defense Ministry has previously said the F-16s are too old for Ukraine to use in combat, although De Cro said they could still be useful, on pilot training example.

- I asked the Ministry of Defense to see what use our F-16s could have in Ukraine, said de Cro, speaking on the sidelines of a meeting of the UN General Assembly in New York, adding that they must consider all options.
