Bekteshi: The measure to freeze the prices of agricultural products will not continue, electricity will not become more expensive
The measure to freeze the prices of agricultural products will not continue, considering that the price of certain products is already lower than the established level. Inflation in the area of food products is sharply decreasing, so we expect inflation in the country to be lower than ten percent in June.
This was emphasized by the Minister of Economy Kreshnik Bekteshi after today's meeting with the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Staša Košarac.
Bekteshi says that they are monitoring the situation with the prices of the products and if any abuse by traders is noticed, appropriate measures will be implemented.
-According to the latest data, inflation this year will be below the projected level. In the area of various measures, we do analyzes on a daily basis and they can always be adopted, we will certainly do that in cooperation with the chambers of commerce, said Bekteshi.
In the area of energy, he clarified that with the Minister of Finance and the President of the Energy Regulatory Commission and other members of the Energy Council within the Government next month, they will discuss the new model for calculating the price of electricity, but he told the citizens that no matter what the established model will be, there will be no increase in the price of electricity.
- I can announce to the citizens from today that they will not pay more expensive electricity from July 1 until the end of the year, said Bekteshi.
By the way, the two ministers earlier today signed bilateral agreements between the Governments of the two countries - for economic cooperation and cooperation in the field of tourism.
