They added that according to that obligation, their company, every year announces a public call for procurement of alternative fuel, which would be used only in case there is an interruption in the delivery of natural gas for the operation of heating plants.

- So far, since 2013, when the heating plants managed by Heat Production Balkan Energy DOOEL are fully gasified, not a single kg of fuel oil has been consumed, nor have the heating price decisions made by the Energy and Water Services Regulatory Commission been approved. costs for procurement of fuel oil, emphasized by BEG.

They pointed out that the concluded framework agreement for procurement of alternative fuel was realized after two unsuccessful public calls for procurement of alternative fuel.

- It is non-binding for Heat Production Balkan Energy DOOEL and has no financial implications if fuel is not procured after it, ie if there is no interruption of delivery of natural gas to the heating plants, stressed BEG.
