The ballet performance "Every March on Dance" will be a guest on "Skopje Summer"
The Directorate of Culture and Arts of Skopje within the 42nd edition of the event "Skopje Summer" announced the performance of the ballet performance "All Dance on Dance" (Balkan Dance Project), which will be held on July 26 in the hall of the National Opera and ballet (NOB), starting at 20.30.
Dancers and an artistic team from Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Macedonia are participating in the play. The choreographer is Igor Kirov, the playwright is Goran Golovko, the music is by the group "Bijelo dugme", and the light master is Amir Ahic. The ballet ensemble consists of Branko Mitrovic, Jaksa Filipovac, Luka Zivkovic, Andy Schroeter, Emir Fejzlic, Mojca Majzen, Teodora Radivojevic, Zulejha Keco and Ana Kuzmanovic.
The ballet performance "All March on Dance" takes us to a fictional world in which the songs of the cult ex-Yu band "Bijelo dugme" become the basis for telling stories of one time and one generation. The dancers got inspiration for the atmosphere in the show from the band's videos - energetic, playful, completely in the spirit of the world trends on the rock scene at that time.
The Macedonian choreographer with an international career, Igor Kirov, with the famous hits from "Bijelo dugme" creates a dynamic ballet performance, whose action is located in an imaginary youth state building during a summer work action in the first half of the 80s of the last century, which Today's audience perceives it as a fresh and innovative theater-dance creation.
