The Biden administration is considering options for new deals to supply more than a billion dollars in arms to Israel, including tank ammunition, military vehicles and mortar shells, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal, citing US officials.

Officials say deals that include "$700 million in 120mm anti-tank ammunition, $500 million in tactical vehicles and less than $100 million in 120mm mortar rounds" are being considered and would need to be approved by Congress.

According to the report, the arms shipments could take months or years to fulfill.

So far, there is no official confirmation from the US or Israel about the media report.
