US President Joe Biden called on the House of Representatives to immediately put to a vote the funding for military aid to Ukraine and Israel, already passed by the Senate for almost two months. He called for this last night during the meeting with Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala in his office in the White House.

Biden's goal is to highlight the efforts other nations are making to support Ukraine.

His comments followed the Czech government's announcement that it is sending one million pieces of artillery ammunition to Ukraine, which Kiev says is badly needed on the military front against Russia.

- As the Czech Republic remembers, Russia will not stand by Ukraine, said Biden.

He appealed to Congress to pass additional funding so that the United States could do its part to help Ukraine defend against a Russian invasion.

A draft law on US aid to Ukraine is expected to be voted on this week
