The Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution and the Fight against Terrorism has launched an investigation against anonymous opponents of epidemiological measures over a threat to Austrian Chancellor Alexander Schalenberg.

In the threatening letter, signed by the Group, Schallenberg was given until the end of November to withdraw all anti-drug measures and withdraw from politics, as otherwise the Group would threaten violence against Schallenberg, his family and allies.

In addition to Schallenberg, interior and health ministers Carl Nehammer and Wolfgang Mikstein, as well as other members of the government and politicians from the opposition Social Democratic Party (SPO), who supported the conclusion and the announced introduction of mandatory vaccination, are also at risk.

Minister Nehamer said that when a threat is sent by an anonymous sender against democratically elected institutions and their families, it can not be taken into account alone, so he announced that the police through a comprehensive investigation will determine who is behind the threat.

Austrian police in recent weeks have warned of growing radicalization among opponents of anti-drug measures, as evidenced by the latest protest in Vienna, where security forces were attacked.
