"Automakedonija" won the tender for procurement of six ecological buses for REK Bitola
The total purchase is 104 million denars (1,4 million euros), and one bus costs 240 thousand euros. They should be delivered in eight months.
The company "Automakedonija" has been selected to procure and deliver to REK Bitola six environmentally friendly buses of natural gas from the Japanese manufacturer "Isuzu".
The total purchase is 104 million denars (1,4 million euros), and one bus costs 240 thousand euros. They should be delivered in eight months.
- With these buses we will increase the safety of transportation of our employees who work in extremely difficult conditions in the mines. The buses that are used now are old and dilapidated and do not meet even the minimum standards, said Vasko Kovacevski, General Manager of AD ESM at today's signing of the procurement contract.
He announced that in the period when the workers will not be transported, the buses will be included in the transportation of pupils, students, pensioners, non-governmental organizations, sports clubs and all those in need in the vicinity of Bitola, Mogila and Novaci.
- These are environmentally friendly and economical buses with a warranty period of two years or 200 thousand kilometers and a period of three years for return on investment, informs the director of REK Bitola, Zlatko Kjurcievski, emphasizing the environmental aspect of the procurement, given that that the emission of particles when burning gas is almost zero.
The plant last procured two new buses in 1998 and they have not been used for a long time, and in 2014 10 used buses were procured, of which only three are now in use, with over a million kilometers.
Kovacevski announced that they will continue to procure environmentally friendly buses, and possibly electric vehicles.
