ATP: Unvaccinated tennis players will have additional problems
The first people of the ATP sent an email, a message to the tennis players inviting them to be vaccinated, so that those who received two doses of the coronavirus vaccine will receive additional benefits.
"We hope this information will help players decide who should decide on vaccination in the coming weeks," the ATP Tennis Majors portal said.
The journalists of this portal had an insight in the e-mail, in which they "strongly recommend" the tennis players to be fully vaccinated.
It added that vaccination would not be mandatory, but that the ATP would respect the decisions of governments and local health authorities.
The ATP added that many countries and airlines would demand that the vaccine become mandatory in the future.
These are the six points that explain how the process will go -
1. Unvaccinated players will be tested much more often than their vaccinated counterparts
2. Unvaccinated players will have to bear the cost of additional testing
3. Vaccinated players will be exempted from being called "close contact" if a loved one is positive.
4. Unvaccinated players who test positive before the tournament, or who declare themselves in close contact with someone who is positive and are forced to withdraw from the tournament, will not receive a cash reward for non-playing compensation.
5. The cost of insulation after a positive test will not be paid by ATP
6. Transport for unvaccinated players could be significantly reduced
