Athens is open for a meeting between Mitsotakis and Erdogan

If the Turkish president, who is the one who undermined the climate between the two leaders with his famous statements, requests a meeting with the Greek prime minister, the Greek side will evaluate it and respond positively, said the spokesman of the Greek government, Yanis Ikonomou, at today's regular press briefing.

Responding to a journalist's question about a possible meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis during the EU summit in Prague on Thursday and Friday, Ikonomou left the possibility open, but stressed that the answer would be positive if the mood and a request from the Turkish side.

Regarding what would be the topics on the agenda of the possible meeting and the positions of Athens, the spokesperson of the Greek Government said that the red lines are known and "the response and provocative and unacceptable rhetoric of Turkey in recent times" is known.
