Arsovska: Vardar is private property, it should not have been allowed to play in the Second League
The mayor of Skopje, Danela Arsovska, in her guest appearance on "Kanal 77", among other topics, commented on the situation in the most trophy-winning Macedonian club, Vardar.
Vardar is competing in the second league for the second season. Last season, the red and blacks were not so far from returning from the strongest competition, but in the end they had to accept the situation that they will be in the second league for at least one more season.
In her statement to Vardar, Arsovska said that she would be willing to help, but such a decision could not be made unilaterally, and the club currently has no connection with the City of Skopje.
"Vardar is Skopje's greatest pride. The previous management has cut off all relations with Vardar. The city of Skpoje currently has no connection with the football club. It is privately owned, although I think that is not the best solution. There is a willingness on our part to help, but it is not a unilateral decision to be made. Vardar should not have been allowed to drop into the Second League," said Arsovska in an appearance on "Kanal 77".
