Arsovska was left without new buses, the council did not give permission to buy them with a bank loan

The Council of the City of Skopje did not accept the proposal of the mayor Danela Arsovska for the purchase of new ecological buses through long-term credit borrowing in one of the domestic banks for the sum of 620 million denars, that is, about 10 million euros. 15 councilors voted for the proposal, one was against, and 18 abstained, which was not enough to pass such a decision.

Arsovska sought approval from the Council for the purchase of eco-buses with a loan that would be repaid with money from the city budget, but the conditions and the method of using the loan would be known only after the offers from the banks arrived and after the one offering the best was chosen conditions.

It was not specified how many buses could be bought with that credit, nor from which manufacturer, which was the reason for many of the councilors to refrain from supporting the proposed decision.
