Arsovska: I support the right to protest, but now the citizens suffer the most damage
The Mayor of the City of Skopje, Danela Arsovska, although as she said she supports the right to protest, still according to her, with the decision of private bus carriers to block streets, as she said, the citizens suffer the most damage.
According to her, even in such circumstances when private bus carriers refuse to drive, JSP "Skopje", as she said, tries to cover all lines.
- JSP "Skopje" at the beginning of the mandate worked with 140 working buses, in these 12 months, an additional number of buses were put into operation and now there are 270 buses that are working. If someone decides to obstruct the public interest, let him serve his honor. He has contractual obligations, and someone does not respect them. Someone stopped driving in the interest of the citizens and with that the contracts were terminated. There will be a new public call to which all those who meet the criteria will be able to apply and will be able to carry out their activity honestly - says Arsovska.
According to her, JSP is currently working and trying to provide the highest quality service possible.
- Until now, we have not received a single warning of a lawsuit from those who claim that it is owed to them, so I don't want it to be manipulated. I support the right to protest, but in this way only the citizens suffer damage - the mayor is decisive.
