"Ars Lamina" will award the "Pegasus" award at a festive event at the MKC

The Pegasus Award Ceremony for 2021 and the promotion of the winning novel - "Hotel between two wars" by Aleksandar Rusyakov, will be held on April 6 (Wednesday), starting at 19:XNUMX, in the Gallery of the Youth Cultural Center in Skopje .

The award for the best unpublished novel will be addressed by the jury composed of: prof. Dr. Vladimir Martinovski (Department of General and Comparative Literature at the Faculty of Philology "Blaze Koneski"), Frosina Parmakovska (writer and winner of the award "Novel of the Year" for 2017) and Bisera Bendevska (editor at the publishing house "Ars Lamina" ).

After the presentation of the statuette "Pegasus" and the address of Rusyakov, the first prize novel "Hotel between two wars" will be presented, whose promoter will be the editor of the edition - Olivera Kjorveziroska.

The novel "Hotel between Two Wars" is a historiographical metaphor dedicated to the cult love story of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and Eleni Karinte. Shown in the whirlpool of turbulent historical events in the Balkans and Europe (above all, the many wars of the first half of the twentieth century), the fates of Mustafa and Eleni are portrayed through skillful meandering between biographical facts and numerous reminiscences and psychological portrayals of characters.

44 manuscripts arrived at the competition, and in addition to the winning novel, "We" by Ana Stojanoska and "Ink Map" by Marija Ralpovska were shortlisted for the Pegasus Award for 2021. The "Pegasus" award consists of a monetary amount of 90.000 denars and the publication of the novel in a special edition, reported by "Ars Lamina".

This is the third edition of the literary award "Pegasus" for the best unpublished novel of the year, organized by the publishing house "Ars Lamina", in cooperation with the Foundation for the Promotion and Promotion of Cultural Values, "Slavko Janevski".
