Apostolov: In our country, the biggest problem with investigative journalism is money

The journalist award "Nikola Mladenov" awarded in recent years by the Macedonian Institute for Media for Investigative Stories this year went to journalist Vlado Apostolov for the story "Alive and upgraded: The Lucrative Business Club around REK Bitola."

The story is published on the website "Prizma" and reveals how the public procurement system is abused to bring companies close to the government in the profitable business for coal mining for the needs of the thermal power plant REK Bitola.

- The biggest problem with investigative journalism in our country is money. Here is the time and the skills. Rarely are skills taught, because it is not so easy to write a research story. You need to find an editorial that will allow you to concentrate on one topic. At the moment, we are stationed at home, we do not work from the office and we respect the measures, the journalist Vlado Apostolov told "Utrinski briefing" on "Slobodna TV".
