The President of the Left Dimitar Apasiev represented the party at a world summit organized by the Communist Party of China, which was held digitally, under the motto: "CCP in dialogue with world political parties", the party announced.
Apasiev participated in the event together with representatives of 600 other parties from over 160 world countries.
The Chinese leader solemnly addressed them from the CPC headquarters in Beijing Xi Jinping, and his opening speech was followed by the speeches of the President of Venezuela Nicholas Maduro, the president of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, the Serbian president Aleksandar Vuќi. and others, according to a statement from the Left.
"At the world meeting, which was held at the highest level, important topics were opened about: the need to overcome the existing Western neoliberal order; dealing with new geopolitical challenges; peaceful coexistence and international cooperation between nations; the Belt and Road Initiative; the modernization of countries through sustainable growth and development and respect for their national sovereignty; investments in infrastructure; tackling poverty and environmental challenges; the recovery from the Covid crisis and the inevitable birth of a new and fairer multipolar world", says the party.
