The Kurdish Workers' Party, which is considered a terrorist in Turkey, the EU and the United States, carried out an attack with a multi-barrel rocket launcher from Syria's Tal Rifat at the Onçupinar border crossing, near the Turkish city of Kilis, Anatolia reported.

The attack came a day after two devastating earthquakes hit the region.

"The terrorist organization PKK/YPG, which is completely alien to humanity, even took advantage of the earthquake and launched a vicious attack with a multi-barrel rocket launcher from Tal Rifat on the area of responsibility of our Onchupinar border crossing. "Although there was no damage or casualties among our units, they returned fire at the terrorist targets," the Turkish Defense Ministry said in a statement.
