During today so far we have 17 outdoor fires and forest fires. Of these, six have been completely extinguished, while five have been brought under full control. At this moment, we have six active fires, the director of the Crisis Management Center (CMC), Stojanche Angelov, said this afternoon.

The first and most complex fire to extinguish in the territory of the Municipality of Makedonski Brod is the fire in the atar of the villages of Taževo and Breznica, with the branch towards Jasen, a fire that has been raging for several days.

The rain that fell today in a small amount did not extinguish this fire and it continues to burn. A team of 40 people from Hungary with special off-road vehicles, as well as 50 members of the Macedonian Army, supported by aircraft, is working at this place, said Angelov.

He informed that the second complex fire is the fire on the territory of the Municipality of Probishtip, specifically on the Osogovo mountains, which is raging in the atar of the village of Zelengrad, over which partial control has been established.

At this location today we operated with a concentrated attack with multiple helicopters, as many as we could send at the maximum. On the territory of the Municipality of Demir Hisar, we have a fire on the Ilin mountain, a very unpleasant fire that has also been burning for several days. During yesterday we operated with "air tractors", but thick black smoke was created, which made it difficult for the aircraft to fly and threatened their safety, which is why we had to stop extinguishing from the air. At this moment, ground forces are operating there, said Angelov.

He added that there is another fire in the Municipality of Plasnica, near the village of Plasnica, where it is extinguished from the ground. As he said, the fire near Ohrid that broke out in the atar of the village of Kosel has reactivated today, is causing anxiety among the population, is moving in the direction of Resen, but does not pose a threat to any populated place.

Although there are more than a hundred people who are extinguishing the fire on the ground, simply because the wind passed in one moment, the control over this fire was lost. The last active fire is on the territory of the Municipality of Dolneni and the village of Lažani and it is being extinguished from the ground, burning low vegetation. We have under control five fires in the territory of Kratovo Municipality, Kočani, Makedonski Brod, Sveti Nikole and Probishtip, added Angelov.

He mentioned that six fires have been fully extinguished, two of which are in the territory of the city of Skopje, which caused anxiety among the citizens in the late afternoon during yesterday, the fire in the Municipality of Zelenikovo and Studenichani.

Angelov indicated that at this moment, with the European mechanism for protection and rescue on the territory of the state, one helicopter from Serbia, one from the Czech Republic, one from Slovenia, two from Hungary, as well as two "air tractors" from Sweden and two from Germany. At the same time, as he emphasized, a team from Hungary with 46 people has arrived to help with special off-road vehicles, with which it is possible to move in areas that are difficult to access.
