The Crisis Management Center (CMC) coordinates the work of the institutions. I spoke with the mayor of Delčevo and immediately our services, the duty operation center of CMC, entered into communication with the services of the Municipality of Delčevo. Pumps for pumping out water were requested from the mayor, said today the director of CMC, Stojanche Angelov, answering a journalist's question that the institution took on the floods in Delchevo.

In addition to contacting the institutions, Angelov said that he also spoke with the mayor of Kavadarci, Mitko Janchev, and asked him to send several teams from TTPE.

– He immediately sent two teams with five smaller pumps and one large pump. On the part of the mayor and together with the CMC, all neighboring municipalities were contacted, that is, those who were able to send their teams and pumps, for which we as the CMC and the mayor of Delchevo are especially grateful, Angelov informs, adding that it is the municipalities of Kočani, Berovo and Vinica.

According to him, such damage was suffered by residents of several municipalities and he pointed out that such weather is not expected in the next ten days.

Angelov reminded that on May 15 they warned that torrential rains were coming, which could cause local floods.

- We warned that the atmospheric and fecal sewers, no matter how solidly they are made, will not be able to receive that water due to the fact that there may be flooding of the streets and basements, said Angelov.

The director of CMC said that all the primary canals are clean, there was no blockage in any major canal, and the secondary canals are also in good condition. In Delchevo, as he said, two years ago there was complete rehabilitation, there is a new fecal and storm sewer, but it turned out that it was not enough.

Asked about compensation for the damage to the residents of Delchevo, Angelov said that the local self-government forms municipal commissions that determine the damage, go to the field and then send the estimated damage to a second-level commission of the Government, in which there are representatives from all institutions. There, the damage is determined, then the Government can partially participate in the compensation, but some of the properties, as he said, are insured in advance.

– This is a question that should be addressed to the Government, because the part of compensation is not within our competence. Our responsibility is saving human lives, protecting people's lives and health, Angelov emphasized.

He emphasized that there were no human lives in danger in Delchevo, although the floods were, as he said, a little more serious because in some buildings and in one state institution there was almost one meter
