"Victoria's Secret Angels Go Into the Past": They Are No Longer "Culturally Relevant"
Lingerie brand Victoria's Secret has revealed that it will be collaborating with a group of inspiring women, including activists and entrepreneurs. Namely, the company revealed their new bodyguards, including the former Miss Priyanka Chopra and the football player Megan Rapino.

These women, including Indian actress and entrepreneur Priyanka and pro-footballer and gender equality activist Megan, will become the face and voice of the brand, announced the company.
Victoria's Secret Angels have been synonymous with the brand since the late 90s. Over the years, the latest collections of this giant brand have been worn by some of the world's most famous models such as Andriana Lima, Gisele Bundchen, Gigi Hadid, Tyra Banks, Bella Hadid, and Heidi Klum.
In an interview with "The New York Times"Published on Wednesday, CEO by Victoria's Secret, Martin Waters, said Angels were no longer "culturally relevant".
In the late 90s and early 2000s, the Victoria's Secret runway show played a powerful role in defining the term "sexy". More recently, it has been criticized as "outdated".

Ed Razek, Victoria's longtime marketing director, was the "brain" behind the fashion show. Razek was considered one of the most influential people in the fashion world in the early 2000s, helping to launch the careers of a number of famous models.
He resigned in August 2019. The fashion show was canceled in November, a year after he made controversial comments about transgender and plus-size models.
Waters told The Times that the "overhaul" of the brand should have happened a long time ago.
"In the old days, the Victoria brand had a unique lens, which was called sexyHe said.
"I knew we had to change this brand for a long time, we just didn't have control over the company so we could do it", He added.
