To be honest, unfortunately our country can not boast of major significant sports successes, but when it comes to beauty pageants, here we can proudly raise our heads and boast a lot of titles…

We hope we will be proud even after the election "Miss Model of the WorldWhich will be held in China, more precisely in the city of Shenzhen, because the colors of Macedonia will be defended by the beautiful woman from Skopje Angela Jakimovska.

The selection will start on November XNUMX and will last for several weeks so that all candidates have time to present their country in the best light.

She just a few days before taking off for China, specially posed in front of the photo lens of "Free Press“. Of course, we took the opportunity and asked her things that did not interest us, and we believe that our readers will be interested…

S.P. First of all, congratulations on representing our country at this beauty pageant. How did you come to be our representative?

- Thank you, the responsibility is great, but I will do my best to live up to expectations. This year I was really active in this field, so probably winning titles and crowns in other beauty pageants gave me credibility to be selected to represent Macedonia at the "Miss Model" of the World. The decision was made by the national director Robert Gramatikov, and I accepted the invitation.

S.P. How many countries, how many girls will there be in this election?

- 60 countries will participate in this beauty pageant.

S.P. We are witnesses that the models who go to represent our country always face organizational and financial problems. What is the case with you?

- I am guided by the principle that with a good organization there are no problems, and if there are no favorable conditions I create them myself. So far I have participated in a number of beauty pageants where the manager generally took care of the sponsorships. Nana, Al Aparel Natasha Karceva, Marina Belle, Ana Bora are a series of quality fashion brands that did not sponsor me and supported me to the maximum in my work. The national costumes as well as a number of cocktail dresses needed for the previous Miss elections are my mother's design. So far I have not had any problems because I am not a conflicted person, and my only problem was that in this Miss election I have to prepare as if I was going to an important ceremony at 6 o'clock in the morning and so every day for those three weeks during the match. The so-called organizational and financial "problems" are an illusion, materialism is a fake success, creativity, ideas and identity brought me to China for the second time.

S.P. There is a talent show at almost every beauty pageant! What have you prepared?

- When I first applied for a beauty pageant in Bulgaria, I came up with a script and acted, and this time I will dance. As a child I attended modern ballet classes, and when I was a high school student I was part of the dance group Beatrix Crew. This year, for the needs of the talent show of Miss Model of the World, I devised a choreography, and an employee of the Macedonian National Theater, Darko Mladenovski, helped me with the music.

S.P. You have participated in other beauty pageants around the world. Where was the most beautiful?

- If we talk about the beauty of the countries in which I competed, I would single out China. I visited the city of Chengdu, a destination characterized by pandas, spicy food and amazing nature, but if we talk about beauty on an organizational level, beauty pageants in Europe are far more relaxed than beauty pageants in Asia.

S.P. Are there any places for such beauty pageants? Have you witnessed anything like that?

- I will lie to you if I tell you that there are no matches, but the winner who cheated will never feel like a winner, deep down he will know that he is a cheater. There are not always set-ups, but there are political issues that are considered in these beauty pageants. I have also experienced fair competitions where the winners are real and obvious. Miss contests teach that if you want to win, you must know and lose.

S.P. What is it like to be a model in Macedonia? What are the pros and cons?

- You know how, in one class the teacher with one student is bad, and with another he is good, and the teacher is the same and the school is the same. Macedonia has talented photographers, creative designers and attractive girls, so there will always be work. The good thing about this whole story is that I love fashion, photography and art. The negative side of modeling in Macedonia is that there are a small number of fashion shows, and a large number of models are selected. Big supply, but low demand, so we have to place outside our country.

S.P. What is your opinion on the stereotype that models are just beautiful and nothing more…?

- The fashion world puts emphasis on the physical, which is probably why people do not experience it that way. Such stereotypes arise from the misinterpretation of femininity and sensuality. Physical beauty cannot be a measure of ability, because it is all a game of genes. Beauty is a projection of the inner, but it is true that women who did not know how with their beauty experienced a negative extreme.

S.P. Does it pay to do this profession here with us?

- When I started modeling, I did not start thinking whether it would pay off or not, I started because this profession attracted me, and I was born tall and had job offers. If we choose profitable professions we would all be politicians, programmers and electrical engineers, it requires "everyone says so", but it is much better to focus on professions for which we are destined. Someone produces products but another has to advertise them, otherwise there are no sales.

S.P. Did you receive indecent offers, offers only because you are a model?

- Indecent offers will always be indecent regardless of whether they are addressed to a model, doctor, professor or maybe an actress. It offered the equivalent of bribery and corruption, and I'm completely legal.
