Andonovic: Vucic is currently playing successfully in Kosovo, but in Belgrade he is facing unprecedented protests
A large opposition rally - 5 in a row - was held on Saturday in the streets of Belgrade, which gathered several thousand citizens protesting and demanding the resignation of Vucic exactly one month after the tragedy at the "Vladislav Ribnikar" school.
Practically, the dissatisfaction of the citizens who demand Serbia to be without violence, from the demands for resignations of ministers, changes in the regulatory bodies and above all the abolition of reality programs, slowly began to articulate a demand for the resignation of the current president Vucic. The weak and insufficiently united opposition is trying to take advantage of the discontent and energy that has been created among the people and thus overthrow Vucic from power.
Vucic has repeatedly offered to call for elections, but the opposition refuses because, as it says, there is no chance of defeating the corrupt system created by Aleksandar Vucic.
At the same time, there is tension in Kosovo. There, the Kosovo Serbs are protesting and asking the Kosovo authorities to withdraw the Rossu special police, and for the KFOR mission to be the only armed formation.
In the past period, in a clash with the Kosovo police, several dozen soldiers of KFOR and Serbs were injured, and there were cases of gunshot wounds.
Kurti's refusal to form a WHO community, holding new elections, as well as the use of the Kosovo police, have confronted the West, which now gives more support to Vucic's conduct in Kosovo than to Kurti.
The question arises who is behind the protests in Belgrade and who is behind Kosovo?
Logic says that Vucic has a soft turn towards Brussels and Washington to the detriment of relations with Moscow. This can be interpreted through the developments in Kosovo, where Kosovo's biggest ally Washington imposed sanctions on Pristina and supported Serbia's policy.
Then, who destroys Vucic inside through the street protests in Belgrade. The way the rhetoric and behavior resembles the so-called Colorful Revolution, and it is a Western and not an Eastern creation.
Then the question arises, why would the West destroy the one whose policy is currently in its favor, especially in the new confrontation with Moscow?
