The US military has announced that four leaders of the Islamic State have been killed
The US military said it had, in coordination with Iraqi security forces, carried out an attack in western Iraq that killed four leaders of the Islamic State group, including the country's chief of operations.
"This operation targeted the leaders of the Islamic State and disrupted and reduced its ability to organize and conduct operations," the US military's Middle East Command said.
It is added that in the action that was carried out at the end of August, a total of 14 members of the Islamic State were killed.
