In the "Graffenvor" training center near Nuremberg, the US Army will conduct a new, expanded training of Ukrainian soldiers. About 500 trained Ukrainian soldiers are expected to return to the front in Ukraine in the next five to eight weeks, the Chief of the Joint General Staff said today. of the United States Armed Forces, General Mark Milley.

Mili, who is scheduled to visit the training center today, clarified that the soldiers arrived from Ukraine a few days ago. Full sets of weapons and equipment have been provided for their training, and for now the Pentagon refuses to specify exactly when the training will begin.

The agencies report that Ukrainian soldiers will learn how to better move and coordinate in a battalion, using a combination of artillery, armor and ground forces.

In a statement to reporters traveling with him to Europe, Milli said the complex training, along with a new set of weapons, artillery, tanks and other combat vehicles on their way to Ukraine, would be key to helping Ukraine regain the territory it had seized. by Russian forces.

- This support is very important, because Ukraine will be able to defend itself. We hope that we will be able to achieve that together in a short time, said Milli.

He adds that the goal is for all new weapons and equipment that will be delivered to Ukraine to be immediately usable by trained soldiers, "somewhere before the spring rains begin."

- That would be ideal, Milly said.

In addition to fieldwork, the training also includes classroom instruction and will begin with smaller teams and then gradually increase to include larger units.

The US has already trained more than 3.100 Ukrainian soldiers to use and maintain certain types of weapons, including handling US howitzers and HIMARS missile systems.
