America wants a quarrel with Europe, but we don't want arguments with friends, says Kaia Kallas
EU High Representative for Foreign Policy Kaia Kallas said that US Vice President JD Vance's speech at the Munich Security Conference seemed like an attempt to "pick a quarrel" with Europe, reported "Reuters".

"Listening to his speech, the impression is that the United States wants a quarrel with us, but we do not want a quarrel with our friends," said Kallas.
The former Estonian prime minister said allies should focus on bigger threats, such as Russian aggression against Ukraine.
In his speech, Vance sharply criticized several European countries, including the United Kingdom, and expressed concern about "Europe's departure from some of its most fundamental values" that it shares with the United States.
He intensified his criticism of European democracy, stating that "it is not always clear what happened to some of the winners of the Cold War."
Vance's speech and his brief mention of the war in Ukraine come at a time of growing concern and uncertainty over the foreign policy of the Donald Trump administration.
