The Democratic Union for Integration (DUI) tonight in Tetovo held a party convention where Teuta Arifi was presented as a candidate for mayor and candidates for members of the Municipal Council. Videos were promoted through which the candidates will present themselves to the citizens.

Incumbent Mayor Teuta Arifi told the audience that there was no doubt about the winner and that she would win the next term, even though the party is alone in the elections without coalition partners.

- In the middle of a pandemic, we established public transport, asphalted the road to Shipkovica, managed to open kindergartens in the villages and many other things. All this is a motive for this young team of advisors. Today is an opportunity for a new world. I also say that there is a lot to do. I am here in front of you, I am a candidate for the third time, because you gave me that honor, Tetovo is a university city, a city of change, I thank the citizens and tell them that together men and women can do more, said Teuta Arifi.

The list holder Blerim Osmani pointed out that the five party goals, the young staff and the commitment will mean fulfilling the idea of a brighter Tetovo.

- DUI has the capacity to rule for the next 20 years, the biggest argument for this claim of the president is the candidate list for councilors who are young. To make progress, to engage for every citizen of Tetovo to achieve our agenda. DUI always offers specific programs, this time we have a green agenda. Improving the lives of citizens will be our goal, said Osmani.

DUI leader Ali Ahmeti stressed that the party has never lost its goal in 20 years.

- We have not calculated whether we will win or not, we have prepared projects. I am optimistic that we will become a NATO member and that we will integrate into the EU. "I am sure that there will be a victory in Tetovo on October 17, Teuta will get a third term, Teuta has an advantage, she is a winner, she can have achieved even more in the mandate from October 17 onwards," said Ali Ahmeti, DUI president at the convention. in Tetovo.
