Albania: For the first time, not a single patient was hospitalized overnight
For the first time in the 14-month battle with Covid-19 at the Infectious Diseases Clinic in Tirana in the last XNUMX hours, there is no new hospitalized person infected with the dangerous virus, said the MIA correspondent from Tirana.
Also, according to Top Channel, today relatives of patients waiting in the clinic can not be seen.
- In the last 24 hours, not a single patient with Covid-19 reported to the Infectious Diseases Clinic. It is still early to declare victory, but we are already seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, said one of the most famous infectologists, Professor Tritan Kahlo, who from the very beginning has been directly involved in the treatment of covid patients in the clinic.
In addition to patients infected with the virus, who are treated at home, 99 patients are hospitalized in Covid hospitals.
Professor Kahlo, however, urges citizens to remain vigilant and conscientious in adhering to the measures and protocols, especially not to fall under the influence of "malicious people who speak out against vaccination".
As for the immunization process, it is going according to the plan and so far about 600 thousand people have been covered, while by the end of this month it is expected that one million Albanian citizens will be immunized.
In the last 4.516 hours, out of 89 tests, a positive result was obtained in 873 of them, XNUMX were healed, and three people died.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in the country, 656.876 tests have been performed, 131.666 were positive, 116.126 have recovered, 2.411 have died, while 13.129 people are active in the disease.
