Albania bought electricity for October for 34 million euros

The Albanian Electricity Corporation, KESH, provided energy to meet the needs of the country for the month of October, worth about 34 million euros.

According to the data, a total of 74.500 megawatts were purchased at an average price of 455,24 euros.

Until now, KESH provided electricity for a maximum of ten days.

This is the first time that it has provided electricity for a whole month, which is happening at a time when the Government withdrew from the decision, which was supposed to take effect from yesterday. With it, households that will consume over 800 kilowatt hours per month had to pay 4,4 times more expensive electricity, that is, instead of 9,5 Lek 42 Lek per kWh.

To meet the needs, the company has so far purchased electricity worth 329 million euros, and by the end of the year it plans to spend 500 million euros.
