Today, the Albanian Government decided to abolish customs duties for goods originating from North Macedonia, Serbia and Kosovo, which pass through the Albanian border crossings, reports Euronews Albania.

As stated in the report, this decision was made on the basis of the country's determination to participate in the Open Balkans initiative and the determined assistance that member countries must provide to each other in the crisis of high prices.

It is added that Albania included Kosovo in this decision, although it is not part of the Open Balkans, based on the agreement on the mutual removal of customs barriers.

No fees will be charged for vehicle parking, printing and weighing of goods, so the cost of a truck that will enter Albania with goods will be about 14 euros less than before.
