Experts from Yale University warn that cough and loss of smell are not so common in delta infection, while headache, sore throat and fever are among the first symptoms.

Unlike the previous variants that bypassed the children, this one does not choose its victims, so children up to 12 years old are in danger.

So far, known symptoms in children and young people are fever along with cough, runny nose, gastrointestinal disorders, but also a rash that does not appear so often, say pediatricians. Before the delta strain, covid-19 had no symptoms in children, but now everything has changed. No matter which variant is currently dominant, parents must be aware of other conditions that covid-19 can cause in young people.

One of the most serious diseases is of course the multisystem inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C). In children, it is a condition in which different parts of the body are affected by inflammation, which affects the lungs, heart, kidneys, skin, eyes, and gastrointestinal organs. Of course, it is important to contact a doctor, nurse or hospital immediately if you notice any of these symptoms in your child:

- High body temperature

- Pain in the abdomen

- Vomiting

- Diarrhea

- Neck pain

- Rash

- Redness of the eye

- Severe fatigue

- Low blood pressure
