AHV: One unregistered school kitchen, work surfaces in four damaged
The Food and Veterinary Agency, during inspections in 36 school kitchens, determined that one kitchen was not registered, and in the kitchens of four schools, the working surfaces were damaged. The food samples taken were fine, and the laboratory tests detected unsatisfactory results from the swabs taken in only one school.
For the unregistered kitchen, as the AHV announced today, a misdemeanor sanction was imposed and immediate registration was ordered.
Decisions have also been issued with measures to remove the deficiencies identified in the four school kitchens where the work surfaces were damaged.
- The Agency for Food and Veterinary Medicine continues to carry out extraordinary inspection controls at food operators throughout the country, with an emphasis on controls in kitchens in schools and institutions where citizens from vulnerable categories are taken care of, where the controls will be carried out continuously, it is stated in the announcement.
