Ahmeti met with the head of the Czech diplomacy, they agreed that constitutional amendments are urgently needed

The President of the Democratic Union for Integration, Ali Ahmeti, today had a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Jan Lipavski.
Ahmeti thanked Minister Lipavski for his commitment and the contribution of the Czech Republic in the process of opening negotiations between the Republic of North Macedonia and the European Union, DUI said.
According to the announcement, the bilateral relations between the two countries at the meeting were described as friendly, and the cooperation between the two countries should continue in order to advance the common agenda.
At the meeting, Ahmeti and Lipavski discussed the political situation in the country and the region, the screening process, the path to EU integration, the energy crisis, reforms and the fight against crime and corruption.
- The two interlocutors emphasized that it is of particular importance that the process of constitutional amendments be completed as soon as possible in order to eliminate the delays caused for the country and its citizens, while Lipevski added that the acceleration of European integration is in the mutual benefit of both the Republic of North Macedonia and The EU, confirming the Czech position that the Western Balkans is an important and indivisible part of the European family, the statement from DUI states.
