DUI can function without any individual because it has stable structures, party leader Ali Ahmeti said today after yesterday's appeal to him by party members to use his authority to preserve party unity.

-  There is no doubt that DUI has established stable structures that can function without Ali Ahmetи, Blerim Bejeti, Moussa Xhaferi, Izzet Mejitand. This is a national investment that has a strong foundation and strong support. For 20 years, he has invested in the staff of the party. The Council and the Congress are functional, there is no place for anarchy, said Ahmeti.

When asked by a journalist how this request will be reflected by some of the members of DUI, including two MPs, Ahmeti answered that they will work on managing the situation.

- I don't believe that MPs will risk the future of generations. This is a daily policy. It is not something that cannot be managed and overcome. We do not deviate from our platform. There has always been resentment and debate and I have been open to suggestions and opinions. Most of DUI does not want anarchy, they want rules, peace and debate, Ahmeti pointed out.

Asked if there will be a new election for party president in 2023, Ahmeti replied that he had not finished his mission.

- I am not an official, I am a missionary, my mission is not over yet. You will "have me around your neck" for the next four years, Ahmeti said.

Members of DUI yesterday accused that in the party for almost two years, the statutory party bodies do not exist and are not formed, and that political decision-making, as they say, has become individual.

In the letter, signed by about 20 members including Izet Majiti, Moussa Xhaferi, Visar Ganiu, Nevzat Beita, Blerim Bejeti, they requested an internal party debate to overcome the situation and called on the party leader Ali Ahmeti to use his political and statutory authority to find a solution to preserve party unity. They blame Artan Grubi for the situation in the party.
