Ahmeti: The road to the EU does not stop with the propaganda against Artan - we are not a train, but an unstoppable hurricane

"For twenty years we worked for people to be together and tonight I came to Chair as a continuation of the meetings we had, from Polog to Skopje. Lately, some people are getting angry, but there is no turning back for me! I respect the decisions of the majority of the party bodies, but I cannot leave the road paved with blood and values," said the DUI leader. Ali Ahmeti at tonight's rally in the "Shaban Trstena" sports hall in Chair.

"Our mission began for unification, to give the Albanians what they historically deserved, freedom, justice, equality. I, Talat Jaffery and all like us, must work to pave this path and make it prosperous for new generations because times have changed. Today, education, quality and experts are required, so I am very proud of the team that DUI has in the Government, and this pride increases when I receive compliments from international representatives about how good our image is," said Ahmeti.

He said that those professional staff should be retained and supported to demonstrate their skills, and not to stifle DUI.

"Open your arms and accept the youth, accept the future, because we cannot be part of Europe without quality and professional staff. In 2001 they said to me, why do you need Arben Xhaferi and Imer Imeri. We needed them because we needed cohesion and unity more than ever. We surpassed ourselves on many issues, because unity, togetherness makes you important, because we have a moral and national responsibility for Albanians to be where they deserve," said the DUI leader.

He called on political leaders, politicians to put their anger aside, to all unite for the country to become part of Europe, because, as he stated, "membership in the EU is the greatest service that can be done to Albanian families to stop migration ".

"The road to the EU does not stop with propaganda against Artan, we are not a train but an unstoppable hurricane, and don't go out in front of it because it will blow you away," said Ahmeti.

The Deputy Prime Minister Artan Grubi at the gathering in Chair he said that reconciliation and unification, not division, is needed. He said that his hand remains outstretched, because, as he pointed out, "there is no resentment, no anger."

"We are here tonight because we need reconciliation and unification, not division. My hand remains outstretched, because I have no resentment or anger, we are taught to be together because that is what the time dictates and this is the right moment. We all together pave the way of DUI for the interests of the nation and not the individual, because DUI is for all and not for a few. Only the weak are afraid of competition. "Nothing started and will not end with me or anyone else," Grubi said at the rally in Chair.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani, while addressing the rally, thanked Ali Ahmeti for the trust he gave me to be the coordinator of DUI in Chair.

"Every resident of Chair felt the warm hand of Ali Ahmeti, he invested in education, formation of personnel who make us proud, so we thank him. Chair activists are loyal to your policies, missions and visionary policies. Ali Ahmeti does not care about the headlines of the newspapers but about the fate of Albanians today and tomorrow, said Osmani

He pointed out that the very presence of Ahmeti on Saturday in Ohrid gave weight to the event.

"Ali Ahmeti unites the Albanians, as he united them in 2001 for the signing of the Ohrid Agreement, and now he unites the Albanians on the front for Europe. "Today, people want a European life, with European standards and goods, with high salaries and super-modern institutions," said Osmani.

The President of the Assembly Talat Xhaferi from the meeting in Chair, he said that DUI does not deal with conversations, but implements the urgent requests of the citizens.

"We will carry out the mission we have undertaken to the end, because we do not engage in slander and empty words, but we realize and implement," Xhaferi said.

Tonight's rally in Chair is the first large gathering addressed by Ahmeti, after the two "warring" sides of DUI have been holding parallel meetings for half a year.

Three weeks ago, the "fire group" faction in the party held a rally in Chair where the DUI ministers were criticized, especially Grubi.

The conflict in DUI intensified especially after Ahmeti appointed the head of diplomacy Bujar Osmani as the coordinator of the Chair branch, a move that is illegal for the "firemen", since Izet Majiti is the president of the Chair branch. They interpret it as the party's elimination of the "fiery" ones and the announcement of similar steps towards other "disobedient" coordinators.
