The President of the Democratic Union for Integration (DUI), Ali Ahmeti, who, together with senior party officials and ministers, was at a meeting with citizens in Cegrane, Gostivar, last night, as informed by the party, said that he is not a pawn in chess pieces, and that he is either a leader or not at all.

I have no anger or hatred because nothing bad happened to my friends and I tried to be equal with everyone. I have no such worries although I am not bitter. I also fought for the different opinion, I was hired at the age of 17 when I was against the system. 15 years against illegality and we have progressed with different thoughts but not with anarchy. Say your opinion in the institutions and in the institutions the majority decides, no one is the head of Zeus, but there are no impositions either. You must obey the majority, Ahmeti said.

According to Ahmeti, you cannot impose an ultimatum or a program line with platforms, because the congress decides on them and he implements those decisions and is responsible to the congress. Ahmeti also pointed out that DUI has never been stronger and entire teams have worked in continuity, seeing the ebb and flow of the Albanian scene, DUI has created institutions that no one can destroy.

It was not believed that this country would be in NATO, everyone was skeptical, I see skepticism in the fact that this country is not in the EU and cannot be, I say that we have no other alternative than EU membership. I cannot prevent the demand for a better standard, and this inhibition is done with the EU membership because all the countries left their country before the membership and then returned because the standard was increased, said Ahmeti.

Ahmeti also stressed that homework needs to be done and standards implemented, including the fight against crime and corruption.

Now we face a big question. We have conditions that without constitutional amendments the first chapter cannot be opened because the screening has started and the next meeting with the EU must start in November. Political parties must work and convince people that there is no better and only solution than Bulgarians becoming part of the constitution and opening the first chapter. The best solution to our problems is to create an alliance for a united Europe and let everyone be proud and fulfill their obligations from home as soon as possible and what Europe wants, the first person of the DUI said in his speech to those present in Cegrane.

The President of the Assembly, Talat Xhaferi, said in a statement from DUI, that this is the strategy they will pass on to the next generation.

I would not like to talk about the achievement because I have been accepting assignments for 20 years and I felt that it should be done based on our expectations. These parallel activities that have started must be stopped and our comrades and friends who have authority and power 20 years before us talk about the deeds they did and when they give a report then they will have to accuse. We cannot remain silent because the work given to me if I do not do it will be honest to say thank you release me from the obligation and give it to someone who knows, but to blame someone is not honest, Jaferi said in his presentation.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government, Artan Grubi, spoke about the things that have been achieved so far.

 None of the work of the Albanians was started with this Government, we are just continuing the work that other governments started before us. This Government is a continuation of the previous government. The absolute majority of officials are the same. Since 2002, some of the works have been delayed, and some have been completed. Together with our friends we set a goal to improve delays. We had to avoid any criticism. The things we have done are not few, are there Albanians who say that we are not better than before and stronger than ever. 41,5 percent of Albanians are employed. This is a reality, it is not only words but also actions and we implement it, said Grubi in his speech.
