90 percent of seized cigarettes allegedly destroyed by Abazovic's government were smuggled back in, Montenegrin defense minister claims
The Minister of Defense of Montenegro, Rasko Konjevic, said today that there are indications that in the "media performance" for the destruction of seized cigarettes, organized by the prime minister Dritan Abazovic and the director of the Revenue and Customs Administration Rade Milosevic, ten percent were actually burned, and 90 percent were smuggled.
Two days ago, Milosevic gave a statement to the police about the disappearance of some of the seized cigarettes that were supposed to be destroyed.
Konjevic, who was dismissed today from the position of coordinator of the security services, emphasized that it is unthinkable that Milosevic did not know anything. He also demands that the Special State Prosecutor's Office and other institutions check and determine whether Milosevic is the political patron of cigarette smuggling or "it would be more logical" if it were Abazovic.
The Montenegrin Prime Minister has several times accused Konjevic of being the patron of cigarette smuggling.
